Sexuality Happens

HNT and a mini marriage rant

This was always one of my favorite nude pictures of myself. It’s just so fun, relaxed, and may I please add that I think my breasts look fucking AWESOME? Cause, well, I think they do.

Having spent far too much time in the ER lately, can I mention how pissed I am about the marital status choices? Single, married, divorced or widowed. What about people (of ALL genders, sexes and sexualities) that make the choice not to get married, and are just in a long term committed relationship?

With all the emphasis on gay marriage, what about people that just plain don’t want to be married, but want the same rights as everyone else. I support “gay marriage” in that I feel everyone should have equal rights, but I don’t really support the idea of marriage in general. Why do we reward people on the ability to fall in love, and the desire to sign a piece of paper and possibly spend a lot of money…when so many people don’t care about the certificate, but only get married for the rights. Take my college friends who got married to move off campus, or people who get married for a greencard. How is marriage sacred? And why do I have to tell these damn people that I’m against the institution of marriage when all I want is my migraine to go away?

More on this later.

    So true,
after being married for over 20 years,
and now in “boyfriend/girfriend relationship,(which also sounds cheesy to me)
I wonder what would be the point this time around.
Oprah is doing an upcoming show called
“Why did you get married” and has asked viewers to send their reasons into her website.
Not that I get to see her show much
but this one I don’t want to miss.

That’s a good point. It just seems like a silly statistical question to me, but I always fill it out with hardly a thought about it. I’ll think of what you said next time.

I hope you get to feeling much better soon. That is a really beautiful picture.

Yes – awesome is the word. As for the rant, the real question is why you have to supply the information anyway. Nobody is ever going to use it. Oh did I tell you your breasts are awesome? Happy HNT.

I think this is a great picture of you. Yes, your boobs look wonderful. I agree with you on the marriage thing. The things society regards as “proper” sometimes makes me so mad.
    Anyway, HHNT!!

Em, this is a breathtaking photo of you. Wow. I especially like the look on your face — as you said, very relaxed and confident. Beautiful!

That is a MOST lovely photo! And I (being one of not small boobs) can totally appreciate a GOOD PHOTO (of one’s own!)
As for the marriage stuff on forms…yea. It is kind of a crock. Out dated. Why do they need to know? Do they really GIVE a S#!@?
    (I think not).

    Happy HNT!

Aww, you put up that photo! I feel honored.

And I am with you 100% on the marriage thing. a) it’s not important, and b) a lot of the relationships I know about don’t fit into one of three or four boxes you could check. I wish there was a choose not to answer/why the crap is this relevant box.

I’m getting more and more tired of the ‘rules’ of society. Events from the past year have really made me ask some of the same questions about that subject. What if I want to love two people?

    HHNT!
