No on 48
Before my ankle injury required them to let me go as I could not fulfill my contractual obligations, I worked for the No on 48 Campaign in Colorado. Amendment 48 would define a fertilized egg as a person in the state constitution. Yeah. Things it could effect/ban:
*Abortion
*Emergency Contraception
*Hormonal Birth Control
*In Vitro Fertilization
*Women with cancer seeking treatment
*How doctors treat/interact with female patients
*SO MUCH MORE. It’s ridiculous. It is extreme. And it is change the bloody constitution.

So please, pass it on. Tell your Colorado friends. Vote NO on 48 this November!

Ok, maybe I’ve had a long day, and maybe the idea of amendment 48 makes me emotional in general, and maybe I’m a loser to put that much stock in celebrity opinion, but to see these women that I’ve enjoyed watching on TV over the years and if nothing else, held a few of them up as strong women, and strong fat women, care about MY rights as well as their own? Swear to Og, but I started welling up.
The commercial isn’t the best I’ve seen, and it didn’t address the fact that this amendment would impact more than just abortion rights, but it still struck a chord.
