Sexuality Happens

Affiliate Love

Some people may wonder what these banners on the side of my page are. They’re my affiliate companies.  Long story short, if you click on the banners, and buy something from their sites, I get a small percentage (doesn’t cost you anything).  Yes, this is shameless promotion…but if you are planning on buying anything from these sites, or signing up for membership for them, I ask kindly that you click through from here, to help me out. Since we’re in the midst of the holiday season, now is an excellent time to think about buying sex toys…although really, I think about it all the time.

More importantly, you might be wondering why I’ve chosen these companies. I’ve been approached by various companies — clearly, I don’t accept all of them.  Moreover, I have been affiliated with one or two in the past that then did things I felt were unethical, and as you can see, their banners are no longer on this site.

So, let me give you a little info about the ones I have decided are sex-positive, ethical, and awesome enough to be on this blog, so you can make an educated decision.

Babeland – This is an awesome, sex-positive company that has been around for a good deal of time.  In fact, I remember checking them out online when I was much younger, exploring, and they were called Toys in Babeland.  They run a phthalate-free company, which I highly approve of.  At their locations, they offer really interesting classes taught by amazing sex educators. On their site, they have educational and informative articles, which are geared towards all kind of people.  Oh yeah, they also give me really cool (and body friendly) products to review.  So hurray for them.  They are my number one online sex-toy store that I support!
Sex Toys and Vibrator Reviews at VibeReview

VibeReview – This is a great, woman run site that is based primarily on reviews by its customers.  They have quick shipping, lots of great informational articles, and reviews of all of the toys (more than just vibes – they also have dildos, sensual items, lubes and more).  If you have questions on anything, they’re great at responding. I also review for them.

Photobucket

Good Vibrations – Firstly, this company is cool because I asked them to make me a banner with a Hitachi on it (we know how much I love them), and look; voila! Hitachi banner.  Good vibrations is one of the oldest, best known, amazingly sex-positive, education focused sex toy companies out there. I’m glad they’ve finally started an affiliate program, and am proud to be involved with them. They also have written a brilliant book; the Good Vibrations Guide to Sex, which I highly recommend (with one exception; NEVER, EVER use two condoms at the same time – I’m not sure if the recent addition still has that in it, but just in case). Anyways, a great company, that I truly am behind.

Good Dyke Porn – This is a fairly new site, and I actually just reviewed it.  Click here to read my review. Basically, it’s real dykes, having really hot sex.  Nuf’ said.  Ok, not really.  The models/talent choose 100% of what their scenes will be (what they wear, who/what they do, etc), and Bren Ryder, who owns and runs Good Dyke Porn is also a camera woman AND talent. Dyke owned and operated…no business men hiding behind a woman’s name, or anything like that.  They also have a forum, that you can write in, even if you’re not a member, which I think is a great way to work on bringing the queer community together.  Oh yes, did I mention the sex is REALLY fucking hot?

Crash Pad Series – This is another queer porn site. That. Is. Fucking. Brilliant.  One house, with a key, and tons of queer people of various sexes, genders, ages, races, presentations, sizes, etc…all come together for ridiculously hot fucking.  It’s updated monthly, directed by the genius queer feminist award-winning director Shine Louise Houston, and has some of the hottest people I’ve ever seen in my entire life, ever.  Um. And keep it under wraps, but I may be starring on it in the near future…so you know you’ll want a membership :)

NoFauxxx.com – This is an awesome alternaporn (I just made that word up by the way) site that has been around far longer than many others. Although it has a slightly Suicide Girl atmosphere to it, it’s 100% genuine, ethical, legit and all that.  It’s also open to all genders, orientations, body types, etc  I’ve been eyeing them for years, and am psyched to see that they’re growing so well, and that they have an affiliate program now! Maybe, if I can find myself a photographer (any volunteers?), I’ll send a set in myself!

For Your Nymphomation – Woman conceived, designed, owned, run, presented, and more, FYN cases arethe best way to store sex toys, hands down.  They have so many different types of cases, chests, trunks, and oh yes, now they have sex heart lock necklaces. Their stuff is great quality, and they, like many of my other affiliate companies, make a significant contribution back to the community. Everyone should have AT LEAST one FYN case.

JT's<br /> Stockroom

J.T’s Stockroom – This company offers some of the best kink related toys that are available on the market.  Stone dildos? Check.  Spreader bars? Check. Electro play equipment?  You betcha.  If you want it, there is a damn good possibility that they have it, up to and including sex furniture.
extreme restraints

Extreme Restraints – I will put my one beef with this site out first; they DO sell poppers. I have a HUGE problem with this. Don’t even get me started. However, the number of other amazing items they sell outweighs my reticence on this issue.  They’re great at communicating with their customers, they’re super friendly…and did I mention that they carry an extension chord for the Hitachi that makes it adjustable speed (instead of high/low speed)? Cause they do.  AMAZING!
MenInPain.com

WaterBondage.com

Kink.com – This is, hands down, without a doubt, the best kinky porn company out there. No. Really. No debate about it.  They have beautiful and amazing women (and men, but I don’t know so much about them), and host tons and tons of sites. Dana DeArmond, Sasha Grey, Syd Blakovich, Hollie Stevens, Justine Joli, Madison Young, Princess Donna, Christina Carter, Sarah Blake, Claire Adams, and so many more of the hottest female talent are part of the Kink.com family of sites.  There are the two above (WaterBondage and MenInPain), but also HogTied.com, WiredPussy.com, WhippedAss.com, and SO MANY MORE.  Also, they are an incredibly ethical porn company. They pay their models/talent very well, and those performing for them clearly enjoy what they are doing/having done to them. I wish I could afford a membership (feel free to get one for me) – some of my favorite porn ever!

By Women, For Women

Hot Movies For Her – This is a video-on-demand site with over 80,000 movies. I used to work for them (2006-2007)…and yes, it is run 100% by women. In fact, the woman who has my old job (J.D. Bauchery) and I met in my Master’s program – she’s also getting her Master’s of Human Sexuality Education.  Smart, sexy women review movies, write sex tips, and try out toys…and that’s all free.  Then you can pay for minutes to watch the movies, and you only need to buy the amount of minutes that you plan to watch. Since I worked there, they’ve done some awesome redesigning, and I love that they have so many different theatre options.  Enjoy!

Ok. That’s it. Those are my affiliates, and my reasons as to why they are my affiliates.  Have beef with any of them? Feel free to let me know.  Want to buy toys/movies/memberships? Please click through the banners, either above or to the right.  Got another company you think warrants another look? Give me the info.

Hope that helped!

this is going to sound like a stupid question, but i’ll ask anyway (i’m a new reader, and i’m pretty sure you won’t make me too dumb about this) — what’s a popper and why do you object to it?

    Hey L.H.

No worries – lots of people don’t know what they are. Basically, they’re called “head cleaners” because they are chemicals used to clean components of VCRs…you know, the whole “4-head VCR” dealio. But people have started huffing/sniffing them, which of course is dangerous. But the sexual part is that it makes you less receptive to pain, so people like them, because they can have more intense sex (like anal with a larger object/cock, or with no lube, or _____) with less pain sensation. The big issue with this is that you can still cause yourself injury, more so because you don’t feel it happening. Also, of course, huffing electronic cleaning chemicals isn’t good for your brain.

Ergo, I am against poppers :)

You’ve made a great list of stores out here. Find them very nice, people who are planning to buy sex toys will truly love your blog.

Thanks for the affiliate link love!

I’m looking into that double condom part… don’t recall ever reading that. If it was, might have been many book editions ago — you know, folks forget that the first Good Vibrations store first opened its doors in the 70′s, and sex ed has come a long way since then – wow!
