Sex Toy Review: The Tuyo

I wanted to like the Tuyo. I really did. And I graciously thank Babeland for sending me one to try.

I love toys that are different.  The rabbit style toys, although now in a variety of animal shapes, tend to be quite homogenous. Ditto on a lot of the clitoral vibes. I was super excited to see this toy, which is incredibly different.

I had been hoping for the all black Tuyo, but what showed up with the pink and white version…and as my friends have kindly pointed out, it looks quite similar to a pokeball. I had a bit of a struggle getting the damn batteries into the thing, but finally, SUCCESS!

Hopping into bed with my pokeball…I mean, Tuyo…I was a little perplexed.  What was I supposed to do with this round vibe? I tried pressing it up against my vulva, but even spreading my labia, I wasn’t getting very much out of it. It has  eight different types of vibration; 3 regular speeds, and five programmed modes. It has a decent amount of vibration, but it just wasn’t doing it for me.

A ball vibrator. What the hell was I supposed to do with a ball vibrator.  Finally, it occurred to me. I flipped myself over, and placed the ball vibe between me and the bed, kind of spreading my labia to surround the ball. Brilliant.  It was a lot more work that I want to get off, but at least I was getting some good stimulation out of it. On the other hand, I can’t imagine how ridiculously silly I looked, humping this ball and the bed.

To be honest, this isn’t my favorite vibe. It doesn’t seem that great of quality, even with the nice packaging, and as far as usability, I’ll stick with my fav, the Hitachi Magic Wand, any day. One thing I do want to point out, though, is that this vibe is really great for those with disabilities that effect their hands, like arthritis. It is very easy to hold, and you don’t need to change your hand shape much. Also, because you can roll up onto it, it’s good for those who may not have full use of their arms.  So this is definitely a great addition to sex toys for the differently abled community.

If you want your own Tuyo, go for it.  Otherwise, I’d suggest the similar, but slightly more useable Onye.

So, you mentioned the magic word “pokeball.” I’m totally painting my defective one just like the pokeball and then for halloween I’ll be Ash Ketchum. Take that, you silly pokemon!
