I’m pretty sure it’s elastomed. It’s kind of like silicone (?), and companies want to advertise it like that I guess.

With the cap popping off — mine used to do the same thing, but it turned out the cap wasn’t attached all the way. It screws in until it stops, but then you have to keep turning it until it kind of pops into place?

Meg- I’m getting mixed responses from different companies about whether it is silicone or elastomed. Either way, mine does NOT have pulsing speeds. In fact, mine no longer works. I’m very unimpressed with the quality of this toy.

Fun Factory puts silicone lube in with the Layaspot cos it’s Elastomed, and not silicone. It does have pulsing speeds after it is turned all the way up, too! That being said, I hated my Layaspot when I first got it, but revisited it a few months later with surprising results. I like it more and more everytime I use it, and I’m a hitachi girl. It does say splashproof, but with the absence of an O ring, I would also vote No on that one.
It might be a good shape for guys who like vibrations on their balls and perinium, too.

Unfortunately, Weapons Grade vibrator’s (aka the Hitachi) are the only devices that work for my wife/Mistress. Darn shame as it would be fun to experiment with more of these types of toys, I just so love seeing the look of pleasure on her face!
