Double, Double, Toil and TROUBLE
I’ve got a lovely bunch of coconuts dildos
Lined up all pretty in a row!
I love sex toy cleaning day. Actually, I’m not being facecious, I really truly do. There is nothing that quite matches that feeling of stirring a pot full of dildos, wearing hardly anything, mixing the traditions of housewifery with the perverseness of having a pot full of sex toys.
Don’t know what I’m talking about?
Metals (such as stainless steel), ceramics (like porcelain), silicone, and glass can be sterilized for sharing. You *can* dishwash them on the top shelf (with no soap), you can wipe them down with a 10% bleach solution, or, like me, you can BOIL THEM!
It’s fun, it’s good for sharing toys (or just cleaning them really well in general), and if nothing else, you can shock your friends while you’re letting your toys dry. Although I think I’m well beyond shocking my friends.
So this just serves as a little reminder to clean your toys. Bonus points if you share pictures!

Is that a NobEssence dildo on the right? Do you boil that too? I didn’t know that was okay.
Darling–what is the name of that fabulous pearlescent one?! And I’m very envious; I wish I had a pot o’ dildos. Soon, soon…
So long as you don’t then make tea with the water.
Epiphora – Yes, and I don’t (although the instructions say you can) – I just wiped it down w/ a bleach solution.
Aida – The purple pearlescent one is the Purr, by Tantus.
Kinsey – Good call m’dear, good call!
I don’t think the instructions say that anymore. The Romp I just got only says soap or bleach. When I got the Linger, I noticed it had info about boiling whited out.
yay for fruit bowl! hehe.
oh wait. and dildos ;)
Hi Epiphora and Essin’ Em,
“To boil or not to boil a NobEssence sculpture…that is the question.”
There are certain wood species for which boiling and dishwashers present few problems, others simply just won’t tolerate conditions more severe than the tree would in nature. — Add to this that many of our toys sink to the bottom and rest on the base plate where temperatures sky rocket.
In order to protect your investments and to eliminate the need for owners to keep track of which species can tolerate which conditions. We modified our instructions to remove boiling and dishwashers.
I hope this is helpful and appreciate this forum to share what we are learning.
Cheers,
Toymaker
