Sexuality Happens

I like porn. Good porn, feminist porn, sex-positive porn, ethical porn, drench my underwear it’s so hot porn.  I like a lot of the newer dyke porn, such as CrashPadSeries.com, GoodDykePorn.com and NoFauxxx.com (in fact, I like them so much I’ve shot for all of them!).

However, this movement had its origins, and a lot of people feel that these two movies, Hard Love and How to Fuck in High Heels, were the beginning of the queer porn revolution.  It’s a harder DVD set to find, so I’m very pleased that Babeland was kind enough to send me a copy for myself.

Now, Q isn’t so much of a porn watcher.  She’s liked the scenes I showed her from CrashPad, but overall, she’s only had negative experiences with porn.  We were getting a little hand-sy on the couch, so I suggested we pop in this brilliant DVD from 2000 (well, it was a VHS back then) made by the lovel S.I.R. productions.  

S.I.R Productions is run by a partnered Butch/Femme couple; Shar Rednour and Jackie Strano. There are two movies in one; Hard Love features Jackie (the adorable butch part of the couple) and How to Fuck in High Heels features Shar (the feisty blonde femme).

We watched Hard Love first. I’m not going to lie; the first scene (which Sinclair LOVED) was pretty stagnant, boring and little too woo-woo for even the woo-wooness of us.  It was Jackie and a woman in black fucking in the kitchen. Now, personally, I love the idea of fucking on a kitchen table, but there really wasn’t much energy or pizzaz to it, and we wound up fast fowarding it, as we wound up both getting bored.

However, the next scenes were a jackpot of gold.  Enter the a sassy femme dressed in office drag, with curly reddish hair (sound familiar to anyone we kn0w?) who winds up doing a sexy strip tease (to really odd music, but it’s a hot strip tease none the less) for the boi she is about to fuck. It reminded me and Q a lot of us, so it was therefore hotter.  A hot sex scene ensues.

Then, enters Jackie, who is apparently the femme’s ex. Oh, the drama starts. Ok, I’m sorry, I get there is supposed to be a “storyline” in this porno and all that, but watching a hot butch/femme couple argue and yell at each other is not a turn on for me. If I wanted that, I would be renting seasons, oh, 1-6 of the L-Word.  However, the fight is short lived, and more ridiculously hot sex ensues. Q and I both really liked these two scenes in the femme’s apartment, and some touching started.

At one point, we cut back to the original femme and Jackie, but this time they were in the bathtub. And Jackie hops in the bathtub…with all of her clothes on. Again, we fast forwarded, since we were starting to lose the buzz.  We wound up shutting off the DVD and fucking like bunnies, so I had to return later to check out How to Fuck in High Heels.

This movie has Shar, resplendent in beautiful heels and harnesses, fucking a variety of people. It’s based off of one of her own performance pieces (I know this from watching the behind the scenes, which was actually pretty cool), and involves, well, you guessed it, fucking in high heels.  It was interesting and fun to watch, but didn’t really get my clit throbbing.

Overall, I really do like these films. However, they are a bit out of date.  Not the hottest films, causing dripping and throbbing (although some of the scenes with the femme definitely did their job), but definitely films worth having. It’s like having a piece of the queer (porn) revolution – along with Fatale Media, these are some of the first films of dyke porn ever available on the market. I’m really glad I have a set…and luckily, Backseat Boohoo ended up with an extra DVD, and we’ll be doing a contest for your own, brand new copy this coming month.  Get ready to get some original dyke porn!
