Quickie With Q

I got to try out a new lube, one that is quite different than any one I’ve tried before.
Why? Because rather than being water-based or silicone-based, this one is called Aloe Cadabra, and is shockingly, aloe based.
What is the schtick with this lube? This is what their press release had to say:

This is what I think of it. It’s very different. It’s way thicker than any other lube I’ve ever tired, but it doesn’t last as long.
I tried both the original and the French Lavender. I LOVED the Lavender — it was really nice and relaxingly scented. The original has barely any scent at all. I found them both good for masturbation, but they tended to dry out too fast when there was more friction.
However, if you have a lot of allergies to ingredients in lubes, this might be the one for you. It’s mostly organic, and has no glycerin, which is what causes most allergic reactions and yeast infections.
Also, I like the cute little purple satin bag it comes in. But that’s just my femme-y side.
I don’t know if this is the right lube for me, but I think it’s a great concept, and worth trying out. I might actually hold onto mine for if I get sunburned…cause you know I will, and that’s what I’m used to using aloe for.

I like legs. And except for all the arthritis crap and surgeries and what now, I happen to really like my legs.
They are fairly shapely, and I have awesome calves…granted, they’re pretty big from years and years of dancing, figure skating, hockey and roller derby, which cause issues in finding boots, but otherwise, they’re rocking.
If you look closely in the picture, you can see many of my scars on both of my knees. Surprisingly, I kind of actually like my scars. I know most people don’t, but I do.

Yes, it is hot, and not as open minded/queer friendly as Denver. No, I don’t have a job there. Or any friends.
But Q’s dream job is calling. And she promised me that if after 2 years, I hate it, we’ll move back to Denver, or at least somewhere else.

So last weekend (not this past one, the one before), Q and I took a day off of all the stress, tears, and emotions about making the decision to move, to interview here, to stay here, to not know, and we headed South and West.
In Colorado, fall is BEAUTIFUL. Yes, it’s pretty in the Northeast as well, but y’all don’t have a lot of Aspens out there. Aspens are gorgeous when they change, into yellows, reds and oranges. Hoardes of people drive into the mountains end of September and beginng of October, clogging the roads, just to see the beauty of the fall foliage.
Instead of going back into the popular mountain spots (we’d been in Estes Park the weekend before), we went down towards Colorado Springs. After lunch with Chris (formerly of the blog My Sexual Misadventures) who was in town for the weekend, we trekked up to Manitou Springs, an anomaly, given how close it is to the uber conservative Colorado Springs. We stolled down the main drag, tasting the…interestingly…flavored spring waters (Q HATED it, I thought it was odd, but ok), purchasing incense and supplies for fire wands, playing OLD SCHOOL skee ball and pin ball, stopping for an iced coffee (for her) and iced chai (for me). As we sat there, sipping on our cold drinks, the sun beating down on us yet being cooled by the breeze, I realized how perfect what we have is.
And regardless of what happens with jobs and moving and all of the stuff that could oh so easily break us apart, and my surgery, and our emotions over this and that, Q is the person I want to be with for a significant portion of my life. I’ve never met anyone as interesting, caring, flexible, wonderful, witty, smart, motivate, and kitty-loving as I am. She’s such an amazing partner, and if I was religious or something, I would say I’m blessed to have found her. Since I’m not, I know that I’m just one incredibly lucky lady to have met and wooed her.
Then we got up, drove back towards the city, stopped in Old Colorado City for some more meandering, stealing a few kisses, and then got some delicious homemade ice cream. Once home, we curled up in bed to watch Veronica Mars (Season 2) together, and just cuddled for hours. Again, I don’t think I can even express how wonderful and comfortable this relationship is.
And don’t worry Sequoia, I’ll get up a nekkid picture with some of the fall foliage just as soon as I can grab some leaves.

So my friends like to joke that I can crack walnuts with my cunt. While this is probably not quite the case (although I CAN crack walnuts with my bare hands — a skill learned from my rocking host mother in Germany), I do have pretty strong kegel muscles. I’m not going to lie; I’ve broken more than one vibrator with my cunt, and sometimes my partners tell me their hands have gotten squeezed a little too tightly.
One of my favorite toys has always been a set of SmartBalls Originals. I love my set; I wear them around the house, when I go errands, etc. I’ve had them for two years now, and I love them. One thing, however, I don’t love as much about them is that they’re made out of Elastomer.
Luckily, Fun Factory has come up with an alternative; SmartBalls Teneo. They’re made out of silicone, which means you can boil them (although I’ve boiled my originals, and they’re fine too). More over, they come in two sizes; Uno and Duo. Duo looks very similar to the SmartBalls original, whereas Uno is only one ball. Babeland was kind enough to send me a black Uno to test. It looks very similar to the above picture, but to my pleasant surprise, it didn’t have any pink on it — mine is all black.
I put a little water-based lube on it (don’t use silicone — it might melt it), and popped it in. According to the directions, the Uno is more for kegel beginners…and I am not that. I’ve been rocking kegels since high school. While it was nice to have something to squeeze my PC muscles around, it didn’t have quite the “oomph” of the original SmartBalls, and the “oomph” that I assume the Duos would have.
While it wasn’t quite as fun and fancy for kegel exercises, it was actually really fun to keep the Uno in my cunt while I was masturbating with the Hitachi.
I’d say this would be a good starter for someone who doesn’t have a lot of kegel background, but I think if you’ve be working on those strong PC muscles, go for the Duo.
Couple o’ notes:
*DO NOT put this (Uno, Duo or Originals) in your butt. Yes, there is a silicone cord. YES, it can break. Do you really want ER doctors pulling SmartBalls out of your butt?
*To make the SmartBalls work, you can’t just sit there doing nothing. You either need to be actively working your kegels, or walking around. Otherwise, they don’t help.
With that in mind, I highly recommend EVERYONE with a cunt to get the Uno or Duo to give it a good work out. After all, exercise is good for the soul…or something like that!

It is now officially fall.
