HNT: Vintage

Essin' Em against herself

Last month, I did an early morning photoshoot with Brian Cartwright in downtown Phoenix. While I hated getting up at 6:30 am on a Saturday for it, I really enjoyed shooting with cameras from the 60s, including a polaroid with peel film (as seen in these pictures). I love doing creative and different shoots, and this was certainly one.

Happy Half Nekkid Thursday!

HNT: Love Those Lips

The day before Halloween, I did an amazing photoshoot in downtown Phoenix with Brian Cartwright. I’ll post some of those pictures next week. However, for said pictures, I had to glam it up, and that of course included a set of perfectly bright red lips. Voila!

Happy Half Nekkid Thursday!

A Devilish HNT

Essin' Em is the Devil

This picture is from last weekend’s RACK Room party. I went with my moose Evey…she as a good conscience, me as a bad conscience. I’m sure you can imaging the devilish and angelic outfits that we each rocked out in. There will hopefully be a picture of the two of us at some point, once I can find out who was taking those pictures.

But for now, enjoy my horns…and not much else!

Happy Half Nekkid Thursday!

HNT: Me and My Moose

Essin' Em and Evey

As I’m getting to see my favorite Moose tomorrow, also known as Evey, I thought I’d post a picture of the two of us, just to give you some ideas of what craziness is going to go down tomorrow night at the RACK Room’s Skull FuK (Fetish und Kink) party. Evey is going as an angel, and I a devil, as good conscious and bad conscious.

Happy Half Nekkid Thursday all!

HNT: Happy Fall Redux

Pumpkin Fabulousness

This is from fall of 2008, but I love the pumpkin awesomeness, so I hope you don’t mind them being back.

I’m so happy with pumpkin chai lattes, pumpkin scones, pumpkin smoothies and pumpkin cheesecake all reappearing. I plan to make some epic batches of pumpkin pancakes, and Q and I are going this weekend to a pumpkin farm for hay rides and to pick out a pumpkin each to carve.

Basically, one might say that I have a pumpkin fetish. And I’d totally agree.

Happy Pumpkin Month! (and HNT),

HNT: Folsom

The above picture is my outfit that I wore for Folsom Street Fair in San Francisco last weekend. It’s an amazing outfit, period. I found the skirt on sale for $5 at Target, the hose as a two-pack (the other are much tighter weave, and are leopard print fishnet!) for $7, and then of course, my favorite fire corset and rainbow zebra shoes, coming together for an incredibly hot outfit. I love it.

I had a blast at Folsom, although it was quite hot, and there was far too much walking involved for a poor little femme using a cane. Maybe if I go again in the future, I’ll get me some ponies to pull me around.

My demo went great. About 45-50 people in the audience, two lovely demo bottoms, and lots of fantabulous queer energy made for a VERY fun “kinky games people play” demo at the Venus Playground. Plus, I got to see Madison Young, Mollena, Garnet Joyce, and other fabulous sex positive pervs…and then I finished off the day dancing with an old friend from Philly, and the love of her life. I give that a good thumbs up.

And now, I’m off to New York!

Happy HNT everyone!

HNT: Tree Tattoo

Tree tattoo on Essin' Em by Molly Tsunami

Tree tattoo my left leg. Artist: Molly "Tsunami"

While I was in Denver in July, I had a new tattoo artist (who is now my absolute favorite) create a custom piece for me. I wanted a beautiful tree, but it was important to me for it to have solid roots. I had it done in Denver, where my roots are. I wanted the tree to kind of match the rest of my tattoos, both in style and coloring, so it has swirls, and mostly black with a hint of red. This tattoo ties the two genderless people on my back for my favorite tattoo. It makes me so happy.

I had a weird reaction to the red, so even two months later, it is still finishing healing, but the black is good to go. I think it looks absolutely stunning, and represents me to a T: always grown, and flowing, and changing, but firmly anchored, both to my home and to my passions/beliefs.

This fabulous artist is Molly “Tsunami” Christopher, in Denver, Colorado. Both Q and I had work done by her (plus she offers beautiful custom work, life time touch ups, etc, and is super cute to boot) and would both highly recommend her.

While my leg isn’t the traditional kind of “Nekkid” per se, it is showing a piece of me, baring who I am. So Happy Half Nekkid Thursday to you all!

HNT: Old School Fishnets

This is an older picture, back from when I lived in Philly. I used to love love love these fishnets. I think they were originally called pothole fishnets, and I wore them for everything. I loved them. However, like all clothing items I love, it went the way of the dinosaurs, and was eventually deemed extinct.

If anyone sees a pair of fishnets like this, in plus size, I’d love you forever if you pointed me in this direction. I love love love these fishnets and would almost kill for another pair. I mean, look how sexy my legs look in them!

Happy HNT all!

HNT: Leopard Print and Long Legs

Long legs in Florida

Another picture from my travels in Florida. I was outside lying in the sun (with SPF 100), reading a book, wearing a leopard print (well, snow-leopard print) sundress, enjoying a moment or two of respite from my family, and decided to take a picture while enjoying this moment.

The result, my long legs, leopard print and a lovely memory of a quiet moment.

Happy Half Nekkid Thursday!

HNT: Thumbs Up

Florida Palm Beach Essin' Em

Here is a picture of me on the hotel balcony in Florida…can you tell I was avoiding my family by spending lots of time reading on the balcony, out by the pool, or on the beach? In fact, I finished all 700+ pages of Sherlock Homles, the complete works, volume 2 while there.

So here you see the beach, and the park, and my brilliant left hand, giving you a thumbs up from Palm Beach. Because despite all the drama and family issues of this trip, I really do enjoy spending time reading, and near/in water (odd, being that I’m a fire sign and all…hmmm). You can also see my daily, more utilitarian (but still very pretty) black and silve chain mail engagement bracelet that I’ve gotten to wear on a much more daily basis.

So happy HNT to everyone, and I hope that everyone is having a little bit of a thumbs up in their life as of late,

-Essin’ Em
