PLN 5 million for the 5th anniversary of the “We help as we can” program thanks to Rossmann PL mobile application

The program “Pomagamy jak umiemy” has been implemented in Rossmann since 2017. During the first four editions, we managed to provide assistance worth PLN 18.5 million to over 600 organizations throughout Poland. This year, thanks to our customers scanning the Rossmann PL application while shopping, we have collected another PLN 5 million – for organizations supporting women.

This year’s, fifth edition is a jubilee. We wanted it to be different from previous ones, so starting in 2021. “We help as much as we can to women”. We invited to cooperation 60 organizations working for women, who every day:

• they organize psychological, legal and sometimes medical help for women experiencing violence;
• They support single mothers, including teenage mothers – offering them shelter and assistance
  in finding jobs and housing;
• organize respite care for extremely mentally burdened caregivers of sick and disabled children, who very often do not allow themselves even modest pleasures, such as going for a walk or to the hairdresser;
• fighting against menstrual poverty;
• They organize training apartments, enable girls leaving foster care to continue their education and help them find a job;

This year, apart from in-kind support in the form of personal hygiene products, pads, tampons, household chemicals, diapers and baby cereals, we have made financial donations for the implementation of specific projects indicated by the organizations cooperating with us.

Thanks to this money in 2021. We were able to.in:

• extended from 6 to 12 hours the operation of the Blue Line hotline for victims of violence and launched a portal where one can seek support, information or participate in webinars;
• employing carers and medical caretakers who, through the Someone and Between Heaven and Earth Foundation, have helped several dozen families of dependent persons by offering their time, knowledge and support;
• establish cooperation with almost 100 schools throughout Poland – and together with the Kulczyk Foundation start a pilot program to counteract menstrual poverty in Poland;
• support the Po Drugie Foundation, which will build a home for single teenage mothers;

At the beginning of 2022. the next edition of “We help as much as we can to women” will be launched. Let’s remember that every shopping in Rossmann during which we scan our card in the Rossmann PL application increases the amount of help donated by Rossmann to selected organizations. Customers themselves will decide to donate the CSR points collected on their account, the list of organisations taking part in “We help as much as we can to women” will be announced in January 2022.

The Rossmann PL application can be downloaded from the Google Play store and from the AppStore. It is worth mentioning that in 2021 it received the third place in the voting of internauts in the Mobile Trends Awards competition and the main award of the competition’s chapter in the category Commerce – development.
